This was a full renovation of a house in a historic setting that had fallen into complete disrepair. A full programme of replacement and renewal was carried out including reordering the rooms to provide better flow and accommodation.
This new oak roof is part of a larger extention and renovation of a listed cottage (also being carried out by Hazeldon Developments).
The bespoke oak roof uses timber that was locally felled and selected. Traditional joinery is the main feature of this roof which adds character to the internal spaces.
A timber sarking board is exposed with the insulation over the top creating a highly efficient warm roof.
This is currently in progress and is due to complete Summer 2026.
Complete renovation and renewal of a 200 year old cottage. The building was originally two small cottages but had been joined in the 1960s to form a large open-plan living space.Â
The project removed many of the 1960s elements, like the very dominant rustic stone fireplace, and replaced them with a more characterful, sensitive aesthetic including timber cladding, oak floors and bespoke carpentry.
New outside kitchen space and bar created within a large established garden. The timber roof structure and metal roof cover a large area which is used for parties and outdoor living.
